About Democrat Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh:
Practiced appellate law in Detroit for over 15 years before being elected to the Michigan Supreme Court.
On the Supreme Court, she led efforts to improve child welfare outcomes, strengthen legal representation for families, and collaborate with tribal courts.
Has served on the Supreme Court since 2019, and was elected to Chief Justice in 2025.
